It’s Day Four of the Where’s Lottie? game!

Welcome back to the Where’s Lottie game! All week we’ve celebrated the release of Lottie’s Gift with a little trivia about New York City. (If you missed Clues 1-3, you can check my home page for them.) Here’s Clue #4. If you need an extra hint, or just some great music, you can listen to Manhattan Transfer’s “Birdland” here.

  1. Congratulations, Jane! I feel Lottie would play you a blazing “Flight of the Bumblebee” to celebrate your launch, before warming up with the band at the Spotlight Club on 52nd Street.

  2. Using the “Ryan’s Bar” sign from your picture, Wiki informed me that its location was 52nd Street.

    • I think I need to clarify, for legal purposes. The Spotlight club was indeed at 56 West 52nd. The club in the book is purely fictional, a tiny dive called the “Stoplight Club” for the traffic light that hangs in one corner. It needed to sound authentic without being real. You have excellent research skills, though.
